1920- Band-Aid was invented by Earle Dickson. He was inspired to help his accident-prone wife. His invention was a piece of tape with a small slice of gauze in the middle. Earle Dickson/ was employed as a conton employer. He made the Band-Aid for his wife so she would not bleed when she always cut herself making food.
1920- Hair dryer was invented by Alexandre F. Godefoy. The first time on the market was in 1920. THe first hair dryer was a vacum cleaner, woman connected a hose to the exhaust of there vacum. THe hair dryer was very large, extremely heavy, and frequently overheated. Alexandre F. 1923- Frozen Food was invented by Clarence Birdseye. Packaged food into waxed cardboard boxes. Involved a $7 electric fan, buckets of brine, and cakes of ice that resolted in flash-freezing. 1927- Kool-Aid invented by Edwin Perkins of Omaha Nebraska Original name- fruit smack and then Kool-Ade then present name. Orginal Flavors- Cherry, Lemon Lime, Grape, Orange, Rootbeer, Strawberry, and Rasberry. First a liquid substance then it became a powdered substance that you mix with water. Edwin Perkins/ made this to sell at his fathers shop Selling it door to door after ordering. It first was liquid and then he changed it to powder that you mix with water. 1929- Yo-Yo Reinvented as an America Fad. A toy with a string down the middle of two plate like things that comeback when you push down. 1930- Scotch Tape patented by 3M engineer Richard G. Drew. it was the worlds first transparent tape instead of masking tape which is not transparent. Richard G. Drew/ was a tester at 3M a sand paper company that when he was testing once he noticed the auto painters had a hard time dividing the colors on two color paint jobs.
